How nice it is to spend an evening with girlfriends enjoying a nice cocktail. My husband was out of town so what better time to invite the girls over to partake in a glass of something nice, catch up on all the news and by the end of the evening we will have put the world to rights. A perfect scenario for a Thursday evening. My cocktail of choice in this case was Cosmopolitans, having recently seen Sex and the City. Here is the recipe I prefer:
COSMOS serves 1
1 measure Vodka (my preference is Grey Goose)
1/2 measure Cointreau
1 measure Cranberry Juice
juice of 1/2 a lime
Put 6 ice cubes into shaker and add other ingredients. Shake until a frost appears on the shaker. Yes your hands will feel very cold but it's worth it. Strain into cocktail glass and decorate with a slice of lime.
Sit back, relax and enjoy.
