CHECKING OUT

My kitchen is now officially closed for the holiday season. Tomorrow I am flying home to spend the holidays with my family and friends. I am so happy.

I have had a fun time creating food and treats over the last few weeks and will miss my blogging, and catching up on what all my companion bloggers are up to, although I may be tempted to post the occasional blog while I am away. I'm sure I will be party to some delightful meals during my stay, both at restaurants and with friends and will be happy to share them with you.

As my kitchen is tidy and clean and ready for a break we decided to eat out tonight. Tried a fairly new restaurant in the area, Cravings, big mistake! Just how difficult is it to produce a good chicken lasagne? The gluttonous lasagne sheets appeared to be held, no glued is a better word, with cheese, I say cheese but as it was totally tasteless maybe it was some new ingredient I haven't yet heard of. An explanation or apology would have been nice. Oh well, a lesson learned, just won't be back and it certainly hasn't robbed me of my Christmas Spirit, talking of which I think a nice cocktail will help lift the bad taste left in my mouth.

Thank you all you bloggers out there who unselfishly share your wonderful ideas and recipes. I am indebted to you all.
So have a great one and I'll be dipping in and out over the next couple of weeks.
HAPPY HOLIDAYS

There is a local show here about struggling restaurants looking for help. The owners are always lamenting lack of business, but wont accept it's their food that's the problem because no one complains. They don't seem to get that if customers don't return, there's a good chance the food is Cr@p! Sorry your food was ordinary - lol you've spoiled yourself Jacqui you see!

Have a lovely Christmas - things will be quite on the blog front I think, but looking forward to reading from you really soon:) Happy New Year too!

Have a great holiday! As I was reading your post, "I'll be home for Christmas" was playing on my computer! Synchronicity, I think. See you next year.
